Buzzing stops when Idle Air Control Valve is unplugged, also when the Mass Airflow Sensor is unplugged. Re-connecting still buzzes. Car sits and cools - then O.K. till hot again.

Ford dealer replaced the air bypass valve......same problem as before. They also cleaned the throttle-body of carbon buildup. Do you think that the replacement bypass valve could be defective? thanks Ford dealer replaced the air bypass valve......same problem as before. They also cleaned the throttle-body of carbon buildup. poor running, stalling,a bad maf sensor will set a code. lack of power, spark knock/detonation,buck, jerk, hesitation on acceleration.also very hard shifts.
I would say the code said the sensor was not giving the right signal. Very seldom does a code state to replace a part. There may still be a problem with the camshaft or the relationship to the crank. (timing) As for the temp sensor, if it is faulty you should get a trouble code for it.
u may need to have ur computer reset, u dont say if u have any warning lights on the dash. other fuelling system sensors tie in with the air flow sensors. plug ur diagnostic port in at a garage and see what fault code reads.
Sounds like your mass air flow sensor....or your intake air temperature sensor. Have the vehicle DTC codes checked....Youo may not have a check engine light but a fault code could be stored in the ECM computer. Most auto parts stores will check it for free.
You can't beat free!!!
My car did the same thing with no check engine light and I changed the intake air temp sensor and it fix the problem right away.
I had the same issue, had a local place run a diag and they said it was the mass air flow sensor, dealer round 400 bucks, found a guy parting out his car got it for 50 bucks, after replacing that sensor, i was able to shift properly.
Start with smaller problems and check the fuel pressure regulator, the mass air flow sensor for these vehicles is pretty pricy. Is the check engine light on? If so, head to your nearest auto zone and have them check for trouble codes. If the check engine light isn't on, its not likely your mass air flow sensor
