Sounds like the heater core is leaking. The heater core is located inside the vehicle, usually contained within a plastic box, when the heater core leaks enough, the plastic box will fill up with coolant and eventually leak out, usually onto the passenger side floor. Hope this helps.
Sounds like a tell tale sign of a heatercore. Depending on your level of mechanics, lift the hood and check the two coolant hoses going to the firewall for leaks, if no leaks are found, sounds like the heater core is leaking and needs to be replaced.
The problem is that the heater core has started to leak. The 'water' on the passenger side floor is actually coolant that is leaking from the heater core (hence the low coolant light).
ok you got some possibles.1 check cabin filter if signs of water than drain plug on fire wall cloged.causing water to enter by over filling and no were to go.but thru the filter.easy fix.also if you losing anti-freeze than that will point at your heater core leaking from line or core itself.need to test it,turn on heater and check floor with a towel. lay it on floor going up to firewall inside truck.go for a good drive so pressure can build and heater on.while engine hot look at floor towel top part by firewall wet prob heatercore.also check if door is wet to eliminate possbility of door seal leaking.let me know.
Hi,
I'm not familiar with your model to know if you have an engine temp guage or a light that would come on if the engine is overheated. You said the motor wasn't overheating under the hood... but you have an overheating problem? Maybe just a tad bit more info...
Are you losing coolant?
The water pump if bad, would probably leak or make terrible racket.
Just to take a shot at it, since you said it blows smoke through the dash... I'm assuming a kindof white smoke with a rather sweet smell? Have you noticed any wetness on the passenger floor at all? If yes to any of this, I would suspect as you mentioned, a leaking heater core. Hope this helps... Good luck!
