The 4way flasher button pushed into the dash. How do you repair it?

It's a faulty switch no a fuse

turn on your 4way flashers ,and go under dash and feel fore the clicking next to the fuse box they are on a separate system but the flashers are all located in the same place also look in the owners manual

The signal light flasher is a big problem on most of these cars, the flasher is built inside of the 4way hazard light switch.
To replace the signal flasher you will need to replace the hazard light switch.

It sounds crazy but it is ture, replace the hazard switch and problem is solved, to replace the switch, you will need to pop off the ring that sits around 4way switch and then with small picks or screw driver gentle push tabs in and pry out, make sure to align switch so that the top is at the top when installing new one.

once switch is out of the dash you will then unplug the connector and its out, take new switch and plug in connector and make sure it goes in with the top at the top ( take note of the old switch before removal so that the new one goes in the same way)then slide new one into dash and it locks in, next is to install ring. most times this is the problem area, the ring, put a small mark on the top of ring so that you install it the same way otherwise it will not go in correctly. good day.

On my 95 Chevy 1500, the 4way flasher is located in fuse panel on firewall driver side under dash. To get to the turn signal flasher, remove the bottom dash panel and the entire ash tray compartment. I also removed the cup holder unit to allow light. The turn signal flasher was located just below the the radio and AC area. Mine was wrapped in tape from the factory, but if you turn the turn signals on you will feel the vibration and be able to locate it from the sound.

IT SHOULD BE UNDER THE DASH RITE BY THE 4WAY FLASHER TURN THE 4WAYS ON AND GO UNDER AND FIND THAT ONE AND THE OTHER IS RITE BY IT YOU CAN ALSO SWAP THEM AND MAKE SURE IT TAKE CARE OF IT BEFORE YOU BUY ONE

This is a very common problem with the newer gm cars, the flasher is part of the hazzard swith, to replace the flasher the hazard switch must be replaced, this is the button you push to turn on the 4way flashers, this switch is a common problem ive changed many and is simple to do, use a small screw driver and pry it out, then remove the connector and install new one, i would get one from the dealer they are not to much money. hope this helps.

The first thing to do is check the fuses, the fuse may have blown, maybe to a short or bad bulb, start with the fuses and also make sure the 4way hazard lights switch is off.

there should be two flashers on the fuse panel one is 4way other is directionals.
If it's not there it is under the dash on either side of the steering column and usually looks the same as the one in the fuse panel.

Yes...Whatever you want to call them, there are two flasher units. Depending upon year, the 4way is usually on the fuse panel, the turn flasher may also be there, or up under dash on driver side, or, on newer vehicles there is a combination flasher module usually located on the right side under dash near the steering column.

The fuse panel is on a plastic hinge, and can be released by pressing on the tabs that hold it in place. Good luck and keep me posted
