2000 Buick Regal windshield wipers stopped working during hard rain.

Make sure wiper arms are tight they are on a spline also where the wiper arm transmissin conects to the wiper motor therw is a nut that holds a z shaped bracket that losens up and oblongs the rectangular slot so the wipers stop with the least resistance.

My buick regal 1998 wipers stay upright when the car is turned off ,how can i fix it?

You need to replace the crank arm that is attached to the wiper motor. Then bend the tab back up on the wiper motor bracket that got bent when the crank arm went bad. The crank arm catches the tab when you shut the wipers off so they back up and go down to the park position.

Where is the wiper motor located on a 2000 buick regal

Your wiper motor is usually against the firewall(metal wall between the engine and drivers compartment). It will be on the drivers side or towards the middle. It's black rectangular box just under the cowl( top of the firewall that meets the hood). It will have 3 or 4 screws or bolts holding it in place. If you remove it, be careful. the wiper rod is connected to it on the back side. hope this helps

Winshield Wiepers,1998 Buickregal

apparently, something inside the wiper motor spun and now it thinks the down position is the up position.

a new wiper motor is my only suggestion since the sensors/controls in these motors arent user serviceable.

Good luck and be careful!

When wipers are turned off they park in vertical on my 2002 Buick Regal. It started after I had to clean a bunch of snow off my windshield. Did I bump something with my snow brush?

This is most likely the result of a bent park tab on the wiper motor bracket. To repair this install a new wiper motor crank arm (#12494832) and a wiper motor bracket service kit (#88958149). This is a common problem among many 2002 Buick Regals and Centurys.

2002 Buick Regal wiper motor parks wrong on dlay

remove cowling under hood to expose wiper motor linkage. You have to try it many times but the linkage may not be attached in the correct arc position. Trial by error.

1998 buick regal winsheild wipers will not sit in theoff position wipe winshield one last time comes back up and stops in middle of windshield

Does the wiper still make noise like it is trying to go? If so open the cap where is attached and tighten the nut on the wiper. If does not make noise you will need a wiper motor.
