pull floor mat back from under brake pedal if that is not the problem the brake safety switch needs replacing

Keep in mind that Cruise Control dont work if your speedometor have some problem. The fuse diagram could be find in the Windstar Owners Manual, I suggest to check in Passenger Compartment Fuse Box... position 10, 10AMP, for Speed Control Module, and position 14, 10AMP for Transmission Overdrive Cancel Switch.

Sometimes, this was found to caused by an all too common defect in the Windstar. The brake master cylinder leaks out of the area where the brake switch screws into it from the bottom. The switch has control wiring going to it which feeds various other systems. Ford makes a "Brake Repair" package to solve all of this. It only costs $ 20.00. It comes with a new switch and a wiring pigtail adapter. Simply remove the air filter to get at the master cylinder and remove the old brake switch.

The sensor codes have to be read off a computer to see the problem, either speed sensor, sounds more like ABS module. Locate the main fuse/control box under hood. There should be either a relay or large fuse marked for abs.Good Luck.Please rate me as ' helpful ' if satisfied.

idk the fuse number normally on vehicles if there are no brake lights 99% of the cases i've seen it's the brake light switch on the brake pedal

you have to check all fuses with a test light both fuse boxes under hood and under dash... if good next to look for is the light switch itself... has any radio work been done to the lately... if so alot of times hooked up wrong will blow park fuse as one of the wires to radio is the park voltage to tell radio to dim down some

do the trun sigals work and have check the fuse. take a test light go to the brake light switch one side of the switch will be hot all the time the other will show power after you close the switch . stepping on the pedal close the switch. so if you have no power to the switch it will not work , check the fuse before going any fruther good luck kdc744
