Trouble Code: P0016 (2.0L L4 VIN - Auto)
Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)and read this.
The CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system is installed to the chain sprocket of the intake camshaft. This system controls the intake camshaft to provide the optimal valve timing. The PCM controls the Oil Control Valve(OCV), based on the signals output from mass air flow, throttle position and engine coolant temperature. The CVVT controller regulates the intake camshaft angle using oil pressure through the OCV. PCM monitors timing misalignment while no active faults are present and fully warmed up engine oil at idle. If the timing is misaligned PCM determines that a fault exists and a DTC is stored. Possible Causes:

• * Oil level, pressure and condition
• * OCV
• * CVVT
• * Timing mark alignment

What exactly does this 'light' look like? Any light, especially if it is Yellow or red, needs to be investigated as soon as you can. The shape and colour of the light give a clue as to what the problem could be. Code $7E8 is a 'Sub menu' code on the scanner you used. When this appears scroll down to it then select it. This should bring up another code usually starting with a P then four numbers. Comment below with that code and I'll try to help you more.

P0339 is Crankshaft Position Sensor A CKT Intermittent
P0335 is Crankshaft Position Sensor A CKT Malfunction

I wasn't able to find out the first engine code, but the other one is a multiple or random misfire. and crankshaft position sensor a circuit. If the car has a distributor you could tried replacing the cap rotor and also wires first. Next you would look at the crankshaft position sensor try unplugging and plugging it back in. Look at the connection and wires to make sure they look OK. If you do not know how to test this you could also just replace the sensor. Good luck.
