STOP engine light. There is something seriously wrong so do not operate/drive the vehicle before finding and repairing whatever is causing this light to come on!
Red oil light? That means STOP immediately!. Did you check to see if you had oil in the oil compartment? You can seize and burn up your engine without oil.
The battery light would mean the alternator is not charging the battery, the engine light is either a check engine light for the computer or low oil pressure (red) and the tail lamp warning is for a bulb not working.
A red light always means STOP or DO NOT DRIVE. There are two possible reasons - the car is unsafe to drive, or further driving will cause damage to the car.
If the red light dims severely or goes out when you try to start it you have a flat battery, highly likely if that red symbol has been on while the motor has been running because the alternator hasn't been charging. It could mean you have a broken drive belt but that would also mean no power steering, AC or coolant pump drive so that would have been obvious fairly quickly.
5w30. if the light came on and you kept driving it, it may be too late. you cant drive 10 feet with the oil light on, major engine damage may result, thats why its red, red means stop.
hi, all lights the first and important battery light this shows RED when the alternator NOT carging:
the oil light shows ORANGE LOW on oil:
the engine managment light shows when engine sensors detect faults shaped like an engine ORANGE light
head main beam BLUE when ON MAIN BEAM
indicator FLASHING GREEN light
hazard warning RED light
brake fluid low light RED looks like this ( )
brake handbrake ON RED light looks like this ( )
side light GREEN looks like a star
most of the important lights are RED or ORONGE gerry
You should never drive with a red engine light there is always the risk of further damage to engine, this could mean no or low oil pressure driving like that will damage the engine. Check oil level first check coolant level and get back to me.
Depending on which light is flashing will determine whats wrong, normally thee are three lights that flash one is yellow check engine light, when it flashes it means a misfire and catastrophic catalytic converter failure. Red oil light means your low on oil and if it does not have a gage you may have damaged the engine and then there is several others like air bag warning light this would be caused by a defective clock spring, or a malfunction in the computer system. Your best bet is call your local dealer and describe to them your problem and tell them what lights are flashing they can determine weather you should drive it or have it towed in for repairs. Remember FLASHING RED OR Yellow light means imminent failure of expensive engine parts.
