It takes 3 things for a car to run... spark, fuel, and air. Sounds like you should be looking for a problem with the air, IF it is getting spark and fuel. Food for thought.
if it has a duel points system. possible condensers , incorrect point gap, bad coils
if it has transistorized distributor it will be the ignition igniters that are bolted to the distributor
They are scarce and expensive
Water on plugs?? There are not many places for it to come from.. Sure its not fuel? Need any rotory advice please ask. I have specialized in RX7's for over 13 years now.. [email protected]
problem like this on garden tractor ,was weak coil ,-when engine at low manifold pressure[idle] spark could jump gap and fire cylinder ,higher pressure /under load-wouldn't fire...check color of spark -orange,yellow ,white spark=weak, blue spark is stronge,
it could be many things, no fire or no fuel, replaceing your spark plugs is most likely the leats expensive thing to do and if that doesnt work then there is most likley a problem with the fuel either too much or not enough. rx7s are notorious for flooding and it doesnt take much.
