NOOOOOO! Very easy to solve!!!!!
1.) Lock the car with the original key + remote control.
2.) open the car with the original remote control.
3.) Sit into the car, close ALL doors and windows.
4. Put in the ORIGINAL keys into the ignition and turn it right, until the dasboard lights go on.
5. Wait 10-15 seconds.
6. Take out the keys.
7. Leave the car and lock it with the original remote control.
8. Wait a minute or so.
9. open the car w. the original remote control.
10. Start your car and viola! Will start like a charm.
At least it happened to me with my 2006 cherokee.
IF NOT there is another method, one of these 2 will work!
Try Inserting the correct key in the ignition at least 3 times. Don't turn the key, just insert it-let it sit for 5 seconds and then remove-do this 3-5 times, then insert the key and attempt to start again
Hope it helps, BTW, the anti-theft immobilizer was working.
Below a schematic drawing how the anti-theft immobilizer works, just to give more insight.
