Spark plugs and wires are ok. seems to be the coils or the box with them. Considering taking them out, cleaning them and replacing them. Spark plugs and wires are ok. seems to be the coils or the box with them. Considering taking them out, cleaning them and replacing them.

probally crank sensor. starts then stalls after driving a few min. then won't start for awhile. u can actually check it on the ecu. 4 green lights then 4 red lights. if you can't run the comp check on ecu let me know i'll look it up its been awhile had same prob years ago all my sensors are new
1 coil pack is for cylinder 1 & 3 . The 1st & 3rd....moving back from the belts. 1 is on the top, three on the bottm of the coil. 2 & 4 should be the same, 2nd cylinder, 2nd back from the belts & top on the coil pack. 4 the last plug & lowest on the second coil pack. PLEASE NOTE: , A Handyman's Service manual, from an auto store can VERIFY THIS. My last experience was with the 1987- 1991 GM "Quad" 4 engines. One of the other experts on "FixYa" corrected a mistake I made on a newewr model. SO I WOULD CHECK this advise to A MANUAL. I was wrong on the other one I answewred, & do not want to add to your frustration. I have looked around my textbooks, I do not have one on that car, I have given it away.
since you have already tested fan and relay and both work, the problem may be the engine temp sensor. There are two sensors. One goes to instument cluster. This is engine coolant temp sensor, the other is engine temp sensor which is usually attached to engine block, sometimes they are connected to thermostat housing with the coolant sensor. You can pully the engine temp sensor and test that sensor same way as relay. (with mulitimeter)
Crank position sensor would be my guess. Its located the center, rear engine area, mounted in the block below the ignition
coil pack and DIS module. My guess is that's your culprit.
The stalling out part makes me want to say you have a bad Torque Converter Clutch lock up solenoid. ( TCC ) They are notorious for that. A quick and dirty fix is to simply unplug them. It wont really harm anything unplugging it but unplugging it will make the car run a tad bit warmer and your gas mileage will suffer by about 10 mpg. ( I had to do the same thing last summer )
The no spark makes me want to say check the coil pac, ignition module under the coil pac, and the crank position sensor under the coil pac / ignition module assembly which is mounted in the block. All are located centrally on the rear of the engine under the intake manifold. You will likely need to reach them from under neath.
the car should have a coil pack...when you changed the plugs and wires they cap would have been at the top end of the plug wires. other wise it wil be at the front of the car where the plug wires or sparkplugs run to
