Your best bet is to replace the fuel filler neck. the entire fuel system is a calibrated emissions system, meaning any changes to the specific setup may set a check engine light. you should be able to purchase a new fuel filler tube at your local dealer, not sure if parts stores carry those kind of parts. but you can try them too.

you can try repairing the leak, depending on where it is, by cutting the pipe and slipping a piece of hose on either end and clamping it down on both ends if you feel comfortable with cutting pipes. doing something like that shouldn't affect emissions. just be sure to remove it from the vehicle first as sparks and fuel don't mix to well!

GMC Jimmy gas filler neck leak

Replace your filler neck. It's not hard and when you buy the new one, installation should be obvious and rather straight forward.

A fuel leak is not something to take lightly and it will get worse over time.

Most fuel systems are pressurized (that's why you'll sometimes hear a hissing sound when you open your cap) so if your filler neck is leaking it can throw a code.

I have fuel leaking from the filler neck. Is this

sounds like the fuel tank is building up pressure because of gas expansion. See if the fuel vent line is bent or kinked, if this is o.k change your fuel cap.
