2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER " REDUCED ENGINE POWER" LIGHT IS ON. HAS BEEN ON FOR A FEW MONTHS HOWEVER RAN FINE. NOW THE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND IT VIBRATES SO MUCH EVEN WHEN ITS NOT MOVING. MAKES A VERY LOUD SOUND WHEN ENGINE IS RUNNING. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS TO HAPPEN??
You have some kind of ECU problem. You will need to hook to the diagnostic port to find the problem. Your vehicle has gone into limp mode. This enables the vehicle to run, but at a diminished level until you can seek help for the problem. Do not continue to drive it this way as you may cause damage to the engine depending on the nature of the problem.
Try changing the gas pedel. I have one if you want to buy it. I will sell it for 120 bucks. Four one nine nine two nine 5229. Scott

I had the same problem with the engine running very rough almost like it was missing. Yesterday it broke down on me after making a loud whining noise and I lost all power. I had it towed and I was told by the mechanic it was the water pump. I don't know about that as it didn't overheat or seep water. I do know that I have a bad cam sensor that the place I bought it from was going to replace. I just want to be sure it is fixed right!!! What happened to the good old fashioned engines anyone could work on????
