1997 land rover discovery se7 wouldn't start

On wednesday morning around 3:30 am I was driven to work and the injector fuse blow out and the engine shot down on me I replace the fuse with another one and the engine started right up running fine for 75 miles. Got to work fine but when my shift ended I got in to my discovery and it wouldn't start I check fuse again it looks ok the engine crank over but not luck. Can you help me figure this problem out? I don't think is the fuel pump because I replace it almost a year ago. Please email me at [email protected].

Hey just because you changed it out a year ago dont rule it out yet .. shoot a little fuel into the air cleaner area or starting fluid and see if it will start up .. if it does you are probably had again the fuel pump.. thanks Jerry holler if you have more.

Computer might be the problem you might have someone check on that with a analizer or scanner tool at least ..

2004 Land Rover Discovery Series II SE7 has clicking in engine

Sounds like Valves or Lifters. Try changing your oil using a lower viscosity.

The steering damper on my 1997 land rover discovery is broken. the replacement part is on back order. can i drive it until the part arrives?

It certainly can be driven, but when going over bumps, the steering wheel will jump around in your hand a bit. I would advise not replacing with a factory OEM damper as companies like ARB make a much heavier dirty model and will last and work a lot better

Land Rover Discovery TDi 1 - I hooked up the battery with the polarity reversed then I reconnected it the right way but the engine will not start, not even the starter.

It is possible you burned an inline fuse, starter selonoid.

Do yu get power for the accessories? If so, check the power ging to the starter and work backwards to resolve. Hope you did not fry the Control Module, check all your fuses!

Diagnostic code for land rover discovery 2 se7 p1590 whats it mean ?

Code P1590 is a rough road/ABS fault that normally will also show up when the ABS is having problem with the lights coming on and off or on all the way. Only indicating the the 3 Amigos are on or come on go. Fix you brakes and then you can clear the code.

It can be clear with a proper scanner and is not being caused by any other ABS part.

Check the troublecodes.net/landrvr for other details.

Hope this help (remember rated).

Which serpentine belt do I need for my 2001 Land Rover Discovery II se7 ??? Pep Boy is offering me 2 differnet kind/types.

I have responded to this problem in the past. 2001 discos had an ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) option. ACE vehicles had an additional hydraulic pump for the system therefore ACE vs Non_ACE cars require different belts.

The auxilary gear is locked in high position.

Make sure you are on level ground. All 4 wheels must be =. Play around with the diff-lock switch.
