Question about 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
I just bought a used 2005 Range Rover and I'm having problems with the Bluetooth system. I was told the Nokia Bluetooth module that was installed by the factory needs to be upgraded with a new one that hold newer software. My question is; Does anyone know if I can 'flash' the original Nokia module or do I have to buy the newer module. The dealer has no idea and Nokia is also clueless. I would think, any module should have 'flash' capabilities and it can be done, but the dealer said they could try it with no guarantees it will work.
I have a 2005 Range Rover HSE. The Navigation, Radio & Cd stop working. I took the truck to a Range dealer. I was told. I need to change the Bluethooth module. There is a leak, it got wet. Was there any recall for the leaking problem. What is the solution. They Charge me 1300.00 to fix it.

Official LRNA solution: buy a new module. I will be doing this tomorrow. I have been through this comprehensively with LR Dallas and LRNA. There may well have been other modules installed depending on when the Rover was built, but mine is not flashable. BTW, when plugged in, the dealer computer checks your Rover for updated software, which is downloaded from LRNA every night.

If your bluetooth module part number ends in 042 its the 1st model so you need to get a newer model and theses can be re programmed if they fail and start dropping callls or need upgrading to newer phones coming out all the time plus this can be done if you search for a guy on the forums called wiggs he charges around 60 to upgrade and repair
