Hi, I recently bought a 1999 Audi A6 2.8 Quattro. I think there is a problem with the cooling system. The Water light came on two days ago and I filled it with water. This morning the light came back on and I can see that the cooling tank is empty. I can't see any leaks. Could this just be that the cooling system needs to be flushed? I am basically looking for some advice before I take it into a workshop to have it looked at and having to pay megga bucks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks MR Scary. I will give this a go this afternoon. Could a smaller battery than the prescibed battery size maybe lead to the cooling system not kicking in resulting in water/coolant burn?? Just thinking, cause the battery that is in there is way too small for the car in my opinion. My Polo Playa has a much bigger battery in it than the Audi. Thanks MR Scary.
