95 dakota, randomly dies, then sometimes wont start. Sometimes might start right after it dies. Dies while driving in gear going down the road. It has spark, its a v8 5.2?

This is a common issue with Dakotas of all engine sizes. I have a 99 Dakota and it did the same thing. The usual culprit is the crankshaft position sensor. They are relatively cheap (as far as parts go), and are easy to replace. I would try that first. The interesting thing about them failing is that they rarely set an Engine Failure Code.

96 dodge dakota v8 magnum wont start

Sounds like a timing Issue the spark is not hitting the plugs at the same time the fuel is getting compressed and building up in the manifold which leads to a back fire

Maybe I can help. I had a Chrysler Lebarron V8 that quit on me randomly and it turned out to be the coil resistor on the firewall. I started carrying a spare since it happened so often.

I was driving my 91 dodge dakota 5.2 l v8, when i ran out of gas. got it towed and it has been stored for a month . i spent all day trying to get it going and it would just not turn over. droped tank fuel...

just wont turn over and not starting are two different things.
if the engine will not even turn then it has indeed locked and is in engine heaven.

if its turning over and the starter is working in turning the engine over then use a little starter spray fuel in the intake.this test will conferm fuel or ignition problem.

keep me posted
thank you

2001 dodge dakota will not start

Sounds like a bad battery, or bad/loose connection there. After the battery is replaced, or disconnected, it will need a little bit to relearn how to idle.
