Dodge nitro gate ajar light stays on and interior lights stay on even when gate is secure how do I reset it ?

The switch that tells the computer that the door is closed is broken or has a loose wire.This causes the computer to think the door is open thus the door ajar and interior light on.Switch should be located on door jam.

SPARY WD40 AFOUND THE SWITCHES FOR EACH , OR REMOVE EACH SWITCH AND UPPLUG IT, IF LITE GOES OUT THAT SWITCH IS BAD,

take it to a dealer. you need a CCN (cabin compartment node) also known as a instrument cluster, it controls you dome lights. good news they had a recall on the durangos for this problem and even if the recall was done it should still be covered assuming im right about the cause... (i work at a dodge dealer and i have seen it a few times)

It is your battery. I just had this happen to me, had the battery checked and replaced.
