You can bypass it but not disconnect it. Go here for instructions. Your model may not be listed but if your key looks like the one pictured then it will work.

    Sorry answered wrong question, but to address the question on a MB SL 500, you can't disable it and why would you want to?? Is there something shady going on here?

Yes, it the battery goes flat, or is disconnected, the anti-theft and alarm needs to be reset.

Are you locking the car with the key fob? If so yo must unlock the car also with remote or alarm will sound when you unlock with key.Or someone may have set your system to passive arming.If this is the case you local saturn dealer will probally reset it back for you.Hope this helps
