ADVICE I WAS WONDERING WHY DO U THINK YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT I CAN AND CAN'T DO?? THAT IS RUDE, I CAN LEARN JUST LIKE U DID AND WILL GIVEN TIME AND READING WHAT WORKS AND DOESN'T WORK, I HAVE ALWAYS MANAGED TO SOLVE MY OWN PC RELATED ISSUES INCLUDING INSTALLING MOTHERBOARDS AND FAILED PART REPLACEMENTS, IT IS MUCH EASIER THAN CAR REPAIR THAT MUCH I AM SURE OF.

U really should mind what u say to me, u don't know me, we are not friends, I doubt any 5 year old can pick the proper parts, choose the desired software and all the other decisions required to build a PC from parts, I guess u are just acting that age by such a comment.

U have done just that (confuse the customers with poor knowledge) , 31 inappropriates< that means what u provided wasn't even related to the problem, hum? In the interest of customer satisfaction I will abstain from answering software questions until I have gained more knowledge of the subject, I was wrong on the format issue, but I thought I was right based on what HP told me once about a lost data issue, it says right on there site that once u format a drive all stored info will be lost, and that is almost a quote.

OK let it rest, just thought it was not your place to decide who does and doesn't. Happy new year.

I'm not actively answering car problems, so why do you have the need to stick your head into software issues, you may know how to build a pc, any 5 year old can who knows how to build legos.

I ask you not to confuse the customers with poor knowledge.

    Thanks.

forget this whole thing, there are alot of worse experts than you answering premiums.

  • Ekse Jan 01, 2009

Sorry about it, very unprofessional of me to complain about it like this and even in the premium.

Hate to be rude- BUT- you have to test a vehicles
systems & components- to tell (have to find a problem)

You have to forget the fuse & relay virus spread on the internet,
& learn about vehicles & their technology or you will be paying
a shop for your entire driving career, which is 70 years

Check & test the battery
Check for spark & injector pulse
Check fuel pressure at the motor
Check for OBD 2 Codes

The car is starting to run hot..i put water n the radiator n the problem stop for a couple of days.now its starting to get hot again.I was wondering if u could give some advice?

it could be several things wrong here. let's start with the basic problem. is the fan working? if not, replace the fan. next, is the thermostat stuck( that happens most of the time)? an easy fix, replace it(ask, I'll tell you how). next is the water pump. is the belt tight? is the pump working? hard to tell, the last is the radiator, is it clogged. check the fan, and see if working, if not, check your fuse and relay for the fan, if it's working, change the thermostat (problem most of the time). If you still have a problem, tell me, and we will go through for the last two. this way you don't spend a lot of money. hope this helps you

Problems starting

hmmmmmm...with the lack of info given, it will be hard to give you a solid solution to your problem. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I just don't know where exactly to start.

1) I am going to assume that it doesn't even turn over and try to start. If this is the case, check the battery.
2) If it still does nothing and the battery is good, check the starter...try tapping on it with something(Don't beat the **** out of it) then see what you got.

Like I said, I am not trying to be rude...you really didn't provide me with a great description. But, I hope this is helpful.

Can u tell me how to operate the telephone mode? What do I need to utilize it?

have a look in the book if you can because i havent done one as YET but their is always a first time i supppose ,try it and have a play at the same time ,then you will learn i dont think you can damage anything ,but keep the phone away from the centre consul if this vehicle uses modules and not a wiring loom ,think its too old for modules anyway as the phone disrupts the module software and then the car will not start

A/C will not blow cool air. 2001 Ford Escort ZX2

You can buy a recharge kit for like $30 with the gauge, follow directions. See if it helps most likely you have a leak that's a given but even a very very small leak take time to leak. So for $30 try it if it lasts fine sometimes its just an O- ring or the Schrader valve leaking (the valve you put the freon in thru) check for any oily areas yup that's the AC oil it will tell you sometimes you can't find with ***** eye use special glasses to see, you can find them at the parts store with dye in the 134a it stands out.
Hope I helped

I have a 1985 jaguar xj6 low, second and drive all work fine, when I put it in reverse you can hear the motor rpms change but car will not move in reverse. Also the speedometer works sometime and tach not...

It could be the reverse brake band. If you get a Haynes manual for this model, it will tell you where and how to adjust the bands.
Hope this helps

Belt just broke wanting to know how or a reference to learn step by step on how to put it on myself

The best thing to do is find an independent shop that will let you hang around and watch, thats the way i learned to do things and not just automotive, thats goes for everything, it will help you later on in life. Don't get in the way but just watch, you can learn a lot just by watching.
