We found the problem by taking the truck to the dealership, after spending $550.00 on parts and having everything we could remove tested or we purchased them new and replaced them. We spent two weeks on it and took it to Chevrolet but it took them three days after all we had done, the problem turned out to be the gear on the distributor, sure we replaced every part in it but because we could not get the distributor out with the intake on it we had not even considered the gear, thanks for your assistance and maybe we'll try you again next time....Thanks again.

fuel filter? how about power to the fuel pump, loose ground wire to chasis? wiring harness? terminals clean at point of connection?did you check the fuel pump relay? Relay is located in electrical center under the hood on the driver side.relay and fuse legend will be on bottom side of cover, you sould be able to switch with another relay that you know works, ie: switch horn relay with fuel pump relay, honk horn to insure both relays are working when either relay is inserted into horn slot. Do you by chance have the electrical schematic drawing for the fuel pump?

If you are sure the fuel pump relay is working, check continuity from the pump to the relay socket. These wires love to corrode. When you turn your ignition on, the fuel pump will only run for a couple seconds before it shuts off via the automatic shutdown relay. Make sure you are checking power within this window. The PCM (powertrain control module) is what completes the ground in order for the relay to send power to the pump. If the PCM does not recieve a signal from several sensors (mainly the Crank Sensor) it will not turn on the pump. You may want to check these sensors, is the check engine light on? You can scan it to see if any sensors have thrown a code. Be sure all applicable fuses are ok, the PCM may have its own fuse, check that even if the fuel pump fuse is ok. Your Truck may also have an inertia switch for the fuel pump which shuts it off during an accident. Check that as well.

Should be on the passenger side kickplate below the glovebox and to the right. You may have to remove the plastic panel to access it or look for a small hole in it and feel around for the button

before you drop tank again, check fuses & relay.then disconnect fuel line @ filter turn key to on position should hear fuel pump run and get gas stream out of line. if no flow from line new pump faulty be sure & remove negative battery cable first good luck.
