Hi, I hope I can help with this.
You should only have to remove the lug nuts and the wheel and tire will be removed. If you removed the center wheel nut then it sounds like you are trying to remove the brake rotor. To remove the wheel the 5 or 6 lug nuts need to be removed. To remove the rear spare tire there is a plastic cover to remove which then has a key hole (locks for security). You will need to unlock this as well.
GIVE SIDE WALLS QUICK SWIFT KICK.DONT BREAK YOUR FOOT OR USE A LARGE RUBBER BLOW HAMMER HIT SIDE WALL SHOULD COME OFF.MAKE SURE VECHICLE IS OFF THE GROUND ENOUGH WHERE BOTTOM PART OF TIRE STILL DONT HAVE SOME VECHICLE WEIGHT STILL ON IT.
If you first jack up the right side with wheel chocks in place and set in park, and take off all of the lugnuts, sometimes the wheel gets stuck to the hub, in the middle, requiring a heavy hammer or heavy piece of metal shaft to hit the wheel at the 6 o'clock position from behind the wheel to dislodge it.
After removing the lug nuts, spray some WD-40 around the wheel studs and the center of the wheel. I've kicked the tire, one side, then the other, or you might try pounding on it with a large rubber hammer.
jack up and add another support remove all but 1 lug the remaining lug nut loosen about 3/4 spray around center hub and around each lug nut with a lubricant wait 5 min get a piece of wood and a hammer or a big rubber mallet and start hitting around the back of the tire the wood and hammer ,the wood is to protect the rim hit the wood with hammer not directly on the tire could bend lip of rim should break loose from hub
