I just replaced the starter on my fleetwood and out of no where she starts smoking from the passenger side (engine). I parked the car and a large amount of radiator fluid began leaking. What does this mean???
How do i turn the heater on to a 1990 cadillac fleeetwood
This could be the radiator, a radiator hose, or a heater hose. The only way to find out is to fill the system, start it up and watch to see where it is coming from. It would help to purchase a small mirror at a auto parts store that can be moved around the leak area to hopefully give u a view of the source of the leak. I don't think this is the water pump, as they usually begin to leak slowly and get worse over time, not a 'gusher' like u described. The white smoke is the coolant escaping in vapor form, or/and coolant coming in contact w/ the hot exhaust system. U won't harm the engine if u fill the system before checking, and turn it off before the temp. gauge rises past the normal range. If u can't find it in that time, let it cool down, and refill system, and repeat your detective work. U might also want to raise the front end (ramps or safety stands, and check from underneath for leak source. Let me know what u find.

The leak is coming from the front passenger side. Near the front passenger tire. It happened out of no where with no warning from my inside dash that anything was hot! It leaks antifreeze and smokes a white smoke. What should be done??? Does the water pump need to be replaced???
Where is the leak? A hose, the radiator, the head? I don't believe the replacement of the starter had anything to do w/ this.
