Replacing your air filter I guess is your question. best way I have found is quite simple. 1.8l disconnect the N80 valve on way valve solenoid normally in a rubber housing connected to your intake air duct. remove small clamp and connector. remove intake air duct two phillips head screws on core support. remove two top screws from top of air box. you may have to loosen up the wiring that is held in place by clips to make it easier. spread box open pull out air filter... CURSE ALOT. then do the exact opposite for reassembly.

Just saw your post as I was having the same problem. The fuse that you need to look at is #37. I changed that fuse and everything was good. Apparently the headlight washer pop-ups can freeze up in cold weather and blow the fuse.Fuse block is located on the left-end of the dashboard against the door. You need to open the door to access the panel.
Take out the 2 screws at the red arrows. And then pull the top back towards the engine (as indicated by the middle red arrow). Disregard the yellow arrow.
can you hear the motor trying to work the window? A fairly common problem is the window regulator breaks. this is the cable operated lifting mechanism that raises the window, when it breaks you can hear the motor winding away, accompanied by a faint clunking noise as the motor tries to operate the mechanism. They are quite difficult to replace.
if you cant hear the motor working (also assuming all your other windows do work) then either to motor is faulty or there is no power to the motor. the wiring inside the rubber boot that goes from the car to the door (by the door hinges) is prone to breaking due to the constant flexing back and fourth as the door is opened and closed. switches can also fail, you may be able to swap the drivers/passengers switches around if they are identical for testing.
you must undo all hoses and unscrew the two screws. if you mess up the air sensor will be broken and some of the hoses have to be replaced. it will cost in excess of $400 in parts alone where as Audi dealer will charge $130 to change the filter for you. I had to pay $750 to fix the damage I caused.
it shoul be 2 metal clips on it lift them up and slide out filter box
