MY BLAZER SERCURTY LIGH AND ENGINE LIGHT IS ON I TOOK MY CAR TO HAVE THE ENGINE LIGHT CHECK BUT THEY CAN NOT GET A READING AND THE SERCURTY LIGHT COMES AND GOES CAN ANY ONE HELP ME OUT WHERE DO I START
This worked for me remove the- negative side of the battery cable wait for 3 minutes and then re-start the engine this may just be a temporary fix but it will probably get rid of that obnoxious light(s) for you good luck!

The 2000 4.3 will fit in the Blazer. If the engine previously in the Blazer was a 4.3, it should be a direct changeover. Any parts differences you can use the parts off the old motor to make it work. Some connections may be different, but can be worked around.
sounds like you know what you are doing, sometimes the codes have to be removed after repair, i'm not sure whether or not your vehicle requires this. If it is just a light bothering you try and clear the code and see if it comes back. Some Advance Auto or O'reilly has a tool to do this free of charge
if it does not start after you check your distributor cap that means you took the car out of timing, when you put the distributor cap back on you did not put it is the correct position, now you need a mechanic to get the timing of the engine
