Speed 4, 3, & 2 have stopped working on the control dial for the heater blower, could you please tell me where i can locate the resister unit and how to access it to possibly replace it, Many Thanks George Little
SOURCE: Heater fan only works on high speed 4.
sounds like the switch is bad. Test the power coming in to the connector and use jumpers to get the fan to operate at all 4 speeds. if it works then it the switch.
SOURCE: location of blower resistor
The resistor is located on the blower housing on the firewall under the hood under the relay center boxes.
SOURCE: where is the heater blower motor resistor located
if you locate the blower motor the rester is the wire that atachec to blower motor fallow wire till you find a circuit bord this is ur resistor
SOURCE: Blower motor or resistor?
If it was the motor that went out then it would not blow at all. The resistor is the culprit that starts killing off speeds. It should be about $25 to $30 at an aftermarket store like autozone or advanced auto parts.
SOURCE: locating heater blower motor resistor
the resistor is behind your glove box. open the box and push in the sides to release it and let it hang down...the resistor is right there. I didn't try to replace it, a friend did it, but the part was under $20.
