You have a bad brake light switch or it came loose. Some have a screw in type and after a bit the nut on the back will work it's way loose and the switch will back off allowing it to come on look up under the dash by the metal arm that is attached to the brake pedal it will be a round or rectangular and have 2 or 3 wires coming out if it. some are not easy to change some are you should know how to check it already takes two people to check

Regular headlights will not come on, only brights

There is a head lamp driver module for low beams, I can't tell if module is faulty? Check voltage and ground for module. Can you check applicable trouble codes? The BCM does have some control on that module, pulse/width modulated ground. Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free.

Note the wiring.

1999 Dodge Grand Caravan Center brake light comes on when brake pedal is pushed. Side brake lights do not come on when the brake pedal is pushed. Tail lights and brake lights do come on when head lights...

Your Problem is most likely your multifunction switch. This switch is on your steering column and operates the bright and dim headlights, turn signals, hazards and wipers and wash. You will have to remove the cover around the steering column to get to it and replace it. Feel free to contact me for more info if you need help doing this. I will do my best to respond right away.

On 2002 jeep laredo brake lights dont turn on if lights arent on

That does not make any sense. Do the tail lights work? There are supposed to be separate filaments for brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals. In particular the center brake light should not be possible to be confused with tail lights or signals. Does it come on? If not, then you probably have no brake lights at all, and that is probably because of the bad fuse or the switch on the brake pedal for the brake lights.
If there is some sort of cross over between tail light and brake lights, that is usually from a bad light socket ground; which results in current backing up from one system to another. But then each is usually only half brightness.

01 chevy silverado tail lights problems

I had the same problem. I swapped two of the same relays for the stop lamps under the hood in the fuse box panel. The problem went away. Apparently the relays stick some time.

Head lamp does not turn on, but bright light does in chrysler

It sounds like its a 'duel filiment' headlight; 2 separate filiments, 1 for highbeams & 1 for lowbeams. (Same as a brake light/directional bulb) Replace the headlight with a new one.
