Re: I have a knoking noise when i turn my steering wheel...
It can be related to a universal joint from the steering rod to the unit and it is possible that this has failed. Normally this is a yoke and must be replaced after the vehicle has run.;

Typically the OBD2 port is located below the steering wheel, towards the right or left knee. It should have a cover over it saying "diagnostic" or "obd2" another location is under the hood, typically near a fuse panel. This one should definitely have a cover on it saying "diagnostic" or "obd2"
Hello and welcome. this noise is normally caused by a noisey steering I-shaft. there is a steering shaft that goes in between the steering column and the steering gear. this shaft has a slip joint that becomes noisey. all you need to do is lube the i-shaft with some special lube and you will be good to go
is it more from the front or back of the car ?? over bumps ?? while acelerating or braking ??
on the top of the front struts there's a rubber bushing called the "upper strut mount" this is a commonly replaced item. Also the sway bar bushings are frequently replaced. or, it could be something totally different..... gremlins ??
iam am no doubt totally wrong here ,but i would first of all check the power steering fluid level ,then turn steering from left to right with engine running and check the fluid level again
well the knock in the steering wheel is a common problem for your modle your steering nuckle needs to be removed lubed and replaced this will resolve this issue....as for the other noise i would have to hear it noises are tuff have your ball joints checked and lubed if posible ......good luck
sounds like a cv axle noise i have found you cant change inner without outer, for the time spent you should replace the axle as a whole,,much easier too. front wheel drive cars are hard on front end bushings and etc. the coil springs seem to sqirm in there saddles when they get old too making creaking noises, no big deal on ford escort, tempo, topaz, sable,,,,,
