Fan making clanking noise like it is hitting something the part seems to be located in the lower left front passenger side

sounds like blower motor fan for heat, the motor itself can be going bad or something is hitting fan blade inside heater box, I have seen all different things in heater boxes including acorns , leaves and general debris causing noises when fan for heater runs, you need to take it apart and check for anything that might be hitting fan if not motor is going bad and needs replacement, good luck.

When i turn my heater on (and also the ac) it makes a loud humming noise. as i turn it higher the noise gets louder. I have a 2001 chevy trailblazer.

It is possible that a stray leaf or piece of debris is stuck in the blower fan blades. This is more likely if the noise began suddenly. You will have to access the blower and remove it to inspect the blades. If their isn't an obvious debris problem, the blower fan bearing may be wearing out and getting noisy; although this noise would slowly get worse and worse every day.

2003 trailblazer I have no heat or air coming out of my dash vents

Is it no heat/air when sitting still, or no heat air period? If the heat and air blow slightly when driving you have a bad blower mower/resisitor and its not allowing the air to blow into the cab. If not blowing period when moving probably bad heater controls or fuse... Worst case scanario is you have an electrical problem that needs to be diagnosed

2004 Toyota Tundra - mice got into the fan assembly and the motor

I have seen that most of the time rodents will build a nest right in the middle of the fan on the blower motor. Remove the blower motor and clean the blower fan and clean out the air duct from the blower motor while it is out of the vehicle.

My 04 explorer makes a clicking noise when i adjust the temp and it has no heat

The air control door is probably jammed, and the drive motor is probably slipping and clicking. Dig all the acorns and squirrel droppings out and re-attach the linkage.

Diverter Fan broke affecting air and heat

it is not you fan ticking. there is a big door in your heaterbox that switches from heat to a/c. alot of times the motor that turns this door gets jammed. if the motor is removed and the door turned manually, turning the car on with the motor {flap motor} removed still , turn the heat to cold, wait for the motor to stop turning, then bolt it back onto flap and you should be fine.mercedes is not perfect, sometimes you have to remove the dash to access this flap motor

2008 Honda polit air conditioner makes a rumbling noise when idling-lmwarner

I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be (of all things) an acorn that had found its way from the fresh air intake beneath the windshield into the drum-shaped blower fan, which is located under the dash on the passenger's side. It is easily removed (I did it myself TWICE with the help of a hand-held mirror) by removing the three torx screws that hold it up. Try this, and you might be surprised what you find in the blower. Hope this helps.

Hyundai Accent air conditioner blower noise

Hello kandrika_mur

I might have a solution for you issue. First I would like to give you a few explanations.

1. If you live in an area with squirrels or chipmunks they could be the reason for the noise. If you hear a loud humming noise there is a simple fix. Just open the fan housing under the clove box and unscrew the housing and remove the acorns, Sticks, leaves or anything else that is stuck in the fan or its housing. These animals are notorious for hiding things in vehicles especially in the beginning of the colder season. I have to do this in October every year.

2. The bearings in the fan motor may need grease or even replacing. If bearings are burnt out they can also make noise.

I hope this helps.

Temp control problem

I just repaired my 02 Galant with same problem. I removed the heater control box and disassembled and applied 12 volts dc and verified motor was ok. Then attached the plug back on and checked in car still not moving. Removed the screw holding the temp. control and cleaned contacts and applied pro-gold contact cleaner and preserve re-assembled and heater works like a chame. Saved 400-500 bucks and we have heat. About 2 hours labor to remove bottom part of dash and troubleshoot.
