My 2002 buick century, it has over 400,000 miles and the check engine light stays on, well then my car started cutting off, but after a few times it would start back up. I thought it was the battery, so I got a new one and that wasnt it then, I got a alternator, but that wasnt it then, I got a starter and that wasnt it. But now it wont stay started.

Check engine light on 2001 buick century

You have a check light on

Thoses lights & their systems
have been with us for over 30 years

That said--you don't know to check for codes
& google them, to learn what system has a fault
or failure?

Still need a repair shop, any time any dash light
comes on, after the motor is running

When do I need to have the timing belt checked on my 2002 buick century? the car has 102,000 miles on it.

Your 2002 century doesn't have a timing belt. It has a timing chain. Timing chains don't need to be changed at a certain mileage.

Instrument Cluster Panel out on 2001 buick century

2001 Century just hit 40,000 miles and the engine light has come on. Im wondering if this is an automatic when the car trips at 40K- for a check up or whatever GM wants your money for.

ps - from '89 to 2008 I had been driving Nissans, Toyotas and Hondas - Im driving this car only because I gave my Toyata Rav4 to my daughter and got this Buick from my elderly mother as she no longer drives. Its is amazing what a piece of **** this car is compared to what Im use to. At 40,000 miles you start having the engine light come on - amazing!

My 1999 Century gives me difficulty staying started after fueling

Sounds like a fuel pressure issue. When you release the pressure in the fuel tank, the pump may have difficulty re-pressurising the system. Another possibility is the the one-way check valve in the fuel pump is faulty, and fuel drains back to the tank while you are fueling. There also exists the possibility that the tank is being overfilled, and the fuel return line is being blocked, causing an OVERpressure situation in your fuel rail, which might explain why the engine runs when you hold the accelerator pedal down. How about your fuel filter; when was it last replaced? Is the check engine light on? Take it into a qualified garage and have the codes read. Maybe the mechanic will be able to point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps!

My car is jerking while accelerating and reaching certain RPM

I would look for a fault in the ignition system such as a cracked spark plug. Might need a scope check to put your finger on the problem

1998 Buick Century- Service Engine Light Soon came on

i had a simaler problem(still having problems but not this one anymore) i had a local mech. look at it and he said it must be a vacume leak, but it stumped him as it would shut down then u pull over and wait a min. and it would start and run fine for a few miles or days...i followed the "air/vacume" line off the pcv vale i think to the back of my engine near firewall and on the intake right below the coilpack was a hose loose that came out of a rubber t shaped connection,i put it back in and have never had this problem again...im on a new problem now..lol...hope this helps you out...good luck to all buick owners..:)
