Locate the fuse panel just to the left of your steering wheel, facing the driver's side door.

  • 2 Open the panel by pulling the cover outward. Look at the fuse listing on the inside panel of the fuse box to identify the location of the fuse you wish to replace. The location and amperage of each fuse varies slightly between all Ford Explorer models, so it's important to check the corresponding number listed on the inside fuse panel.
  • 3 Use the fuse puller in the fuse box and carefully remove the fuse for the electrical malfunction you're experiencing. Examine the fuse to see if it's blown, represented by a burned-out wire. Compare it to another fuse that works if you're are unsure.
  • 4 Discard the blown fuse and replace it with one of the same amperage. The amperage for each fuse is listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
  • 5 Replace the fuse puller and cover the fuse box. Start your Ford Explorer and check to see that the electrical issue is resolved.

I had this same issue. No fuses were bad. I ended up running a fused wire from the positive terminal of the fuse block under the hood, through the door jam, into ththe door wire harness, and up to the widow switch on the drivers door. Connected the 12 V to the off/on switch for the power windows. The down side is the power to the windows is no longer switched which means the windows can be roled down at anytime.

    SOURCE: Power windows stopped working

If the power to the illumination and the switches is out in the door, I would say it is a broken wire in the A-pillar to the door on the driver's side.

This is a Light Blue w/ Black stripe wire, it powers both the illumination and the windows themselves.

Look in your owners manual for the underhood fuse box. There are some models which have several sets of fuses. Also check your window lockout button which should be on the drivers door or center console. This is a safety feature to keep kids from playing with the windows.
It is not impossible to lose 2 motors at once, because I've done that, but 4 window motors at once is a stretch. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how do i replace the main power window switch on

There should be a screw under the switch console, which you will need to remove, before it will
    pull from the panel.

Power windows don't work unless fuse is removed and replaced. Windows will work 3 or times and then stop working.

You may have a classic window switch short, I have found many short circuits in the main window controller on the driver door, verify that this is or is not the case with a multi meter.
Also does the fuse actually blow? If not the window regulator/motor may be faulty

Is there a relay center under the dash? that might logically be where a window relay would be.
How about this? The 30 amp fuse, if there is no relay, would only have power when ignition key is in on or ACC. Test that- If fuse has power at all times, there must be a relay. but if fuse only has power in ON or ACC, I would think there is no relay and you might have a broken wire between the fuse and the switch . I am only guessing, so keep looking, if the diagram shows a relay, there could be one.

Toyota Camry power windows not working from master switch

Their are two fuses that power this system. One is a 15 amp gauge fuse and the other one is a 30 amp main power fuse. You can also check the power main relay, your ignition switch, or i could possibly be a fault in the wiring
