My 2000 lincoln ls 3.9 V8 runs hot. Once I got my thermastat, and water pump changed it continued to run hot. Once those parts were changed the car ran hot even worse. It now wont even make it a quarter of a mile down the street without ruinning hot. At first all it did was leak water and antifreeze from the bottom drivers side, and water would bubble up in the resourvior and it ran hot ocassionally. Now that leaking has stop, but it still running hot.

Make sure you bled it properly and no air trapped in your cooling system .other than that you could have a blown head gasket

Car run hot what is the problem

First thing to check is probably a stuck thermostat. Then the water pump. Head leak. The price and ease of most thermostats is usually replaced first, then further troubleshooting if needed.

Suspect you have a loose clamp on a radiator hose or the oil change guy made something leak. There is a tool which is similar to a a bicycle pump in that it pressurizes the water system and your engine does not have to run or be hot to test. Some major auto parts stores may have a loaner.

Its going to stay hot and lose pressure until you fix the leak.

Lincoln ls V8 2003 engine temperture in the middle ?

You shouldn't hear the fan too much while in the car. It won't start to run until certain conditions are meet. Try leaving the A/C Off or put it on Auto and hit the A/C buttom off. I don't know how hot, the ambient air temp is, where you are.
Your not talking HAVC Blower inside are you?
I have a 2004 V8 and the radiator fan is quiet

My 2000 Lincoln LS V8 is overheating. I've replaced the thermostat and the fan is working properly. Water pump is fine too. Any other causes that I am missing?

Sometimes a vacuum leak can cause the engine to run lean and hot, Have Auto Zone run a free code check on the car to search for a stored trouble codes this may help.

I have a 2002 Lincoln LS. I've owned it for

I have put my lincoln ls in shop 5 times almost once year for over heating.. first 3 times they replaced the fan motor and fan.. worked for few months and went out again in 2 years have had 3 fan motors. Finally over heated again and they said it was radiator.. so for 800.00 they put in new radiator and as wife was driving car home it overheated.. OMG how insane and they would not refund.. so they took car back in and said it was the water pump.. guess what the so called water pump is really a Hydraulic pump.. so they changed it, fan motor, and new radiator..
Now have all this new and one year exactly car is over heating again.... Solution Get rid of the LS or all us complain to lincoln and for this car is a LEMON....
