Sometimes a vacuum leak can cause the engine to run lean and hot, Have Auto Zone run a free code check on the car to search for a stored trouble codes this may help.

Lincoln LS V8 2003 car engine light on and starts to over heat when starting the car after 10 min it raises higher and getting hot but turn off the car for 10 min and drive again it is fine nothing seems...

Light on means codes are stored. There are well over 800 possible codes so guessing is a waste of time. Overheating could be caused by a radiator fan issue. But keep driving it like that and you'll soon be looking a a MAJOR repair for blown head gaskets. Overheating is #1 cause of gasket problems.

I have a 2000 lincoln Ls V8 3.9.. The coolant boils, i relpaced the water pump as well as the thermostat. What causes the coolant to boil??

1st, test the water pump and make sure with the belt off, that it turns freely now that you've installed it. Sometimes the impeller is not pressed on completely, and these don't turn properly.

Maybe you did this but just in case:

Always free spin anything installed , IE: water pump, oil pumps, alternator, generators, camshafts, crankshafts, etc., before moving to the next step.

2nd. Verify the belt installation. With today's serpentine belts, a wrong turn may cause the pump to run backwards, but seem correct. There should be a specific diagram under the hood or on the fender.

3rd. If the Belt's OK, Pump's OK, and you have properly installed the new Thermostat. (I have seen them installed upside down and they won't work that way.) If you filled it properly, making sure it was 100% full, then you may be dealing with a blown head gasket, cracked head, or a cracked cylinder wall.

I hope this helps & good luck!

I have a 2000 Lincoln LS. I've changed the thermostat, and replaced the hoses but my car is still overheating. Is there something I might be overlooking?

Make sure your cooling fan kicks on.
Otherwise, it sounds like a possible leak...maybe a weeping water pump or a leak in the heater core.

Hope this helps...

2000 lincoln ls v8 overheating again

Some cars have 2 water temperature sensors with one operating the cooling fan and the other operating dash indicators.

Since your A/C stopped working it sounds like the power may be off in a relay. Want to say go to reputable mechanic so you do not fry your engine.

You also do not want to be taken for an A/C recharge you may not need. Cooling fan should work whether A/C is off or on.

Some fans have 2 speeds so it is possible to need a replacement if only 1 speed works. You need someone to know the power routing. For instance, is the relay getting a signal from the temperature sensor? If the power is going to the relay, does it go to the fan? Is the fan bad on 1 speed or both speeds? This is independent of whether the A/C has a full charge.

Be careful of the spinning cooling fan blades if the fan turns on without warning.

I have a 2002 Lincoln LS. I've owned it for

I have put my lincoln ls in shop 5 times almost once year for over heating.. first 3 times they replaced the fan motor and fan.. worked for few months and went out again in 2 years have had 3 fan motors. Finally over heated again and they said it was radiator.. so for 800.00 they put in new radiator and as wife was driving car home it overheated.. OMG how insane and they would not refund.. so they took car back in and said it was the water pump.. guess what the so called water pump is really a Hydraulic pump.. so they changed it, fan motor, and new radiator..
Now have all this new and one year exactly car is over heating again.... Solution Get rid of the LS or all us complain to lincoln and for this car is a LEMON....
