Replacing a car is completely owner dependent. It depends on the condition of the car as well, like our family car; a 2002 Odyssey was replaced just last month because of mechanical and electrical problems. The new owner had replaced the gearbox from a used transmissions portal and is doing just fine. Some people keep their cars which last a lifetime and replacement is not needed.

  • If your engine and transmission is good then everything else is cheap.

  • If your wanting to know the best time of year to buy a vehicle, car dealers really like to have a good inventory around Tax season. This goes for Dealerships/new and used cars. February - April is when the inventory will be at its best.

  • If you have any comment please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

The used car buying dealers will start increasing their inventory in April. I would suggest that would be a good time to sell your old car.

It depends on what you are looking for or your needs. If the cost of maintaining your current car is increasing then it may need replacing. Other than that another car may provide you with better use such as space or safety concerns.

When should timing belt be changed?

Hi there:
most manufactures call for timing belt/chains to be replaced approximately every 75,000 to 100,000 miles.
Timing belt replacement can be very difficult if you don't have much experience in that type of repair for the best step by step instructions it would be best too go and get a repair manual from your local parts distributor i would recommend getting a chilton repair manual.
hope this is helpful for you best of luck too you

It shows you step by step on how to do it. The book also has pictures, diagrams and drawing.
