Tip & How-To about 2011 Chrysler Town and Country

Windshield washer pump low or no pump

In the solvent washer filler bottle, there is a filter. It pops out the bottom of the bottle. It connects the bottle to the pump. It is in the bottle. Remove the pump, located behind the passenger front tire by popping it out. It just pops in place, and there you will find a rubber seal. Remove it and along comes the filter. It will be gummed up from the soap in the washer solvent. I bought a pump thinking it was bad, it was not. The new pump came with the filter.
I can see where the pump will go bad from working to hard to push the fluid. Maybe clean the filter every year or so. I had this problem and could not find the fix. I stumbeled across it myself. Good Luck. Greg

intermittent horn/ jet spray not working

As far as the horn goes it sounds like the horn is bad sometimes works and sometimes not, the washers may have a bad washer pump, you will need to locate the washer bottle, this is the bottle that you fill with window washer fluid, at the bottom of the bottle is a pump, you will need to first make sure the plug that connects to the washer pump is not corroded or loose if it is okay then replace the pump, a sure test would be to use a testlight and test for power and ground to pump while someone hits the wash button, but i can tell you this. if the wipers work then it will not be a fuse problem, it will be a bad motor or connection, the pump will pull right out of bottle and new one will pop in,

where is the windshield fluid motor from the reservoir located on a 2000 oldsmobile intrigue and how do you replace it.

The washer pump motor is located on the bottom of the washer fluid bottle. You will need to remove it from the car to access it. Once you do, pop off the hoses and unplug the electrical connector, and it will pop out of its housing on the bottle. It's best to empty the bottle first as the fluid will start coming out wh nyou take the motor off.

windshield washer pump

if it is the same as a 2002 UK spec then the washer pump is situated at the bottom of the washer bottle. the washer bottle is situated behind the inner guard on the same side as the filler cap for the washer bottle.
the pump is push fitted to the water bottle.
if u have been using window washer additives then they can form a slime that stops the pump working.
if that is the case then remove the pump and wash it under the warm tap to clean it out and refit.
hope this helps
