Undo your battery overnight so the computer will reset and see if that helps.if it does not you will probably have to take it to an auto parts store and see if they can reset it
ok i have the same truck my timing was off 3 teeth but mine wouldn't kick out of high idle is y mine was surging but know with timing right no vacuum leaks i cant get it below 1400 but when a vacuum turns on it almost kills my engine any thoughts i know i got a vacuum line mixed up idk were though
sounds to me like you have a clutch issue. quick test for you to perform. put truck in 5th gear and pull / engage the e-brake and try to take off, just like if you were in 1st gear. If truck does'n stall, clutch is weak and you will need to check it. good luck.
Got a 85 Nissan 720 4x4 with the 2.4 engine with Weber.Have them test the alternator after you take it off, also check your fusible links and your positive battery cable connected to starter and the negative battery cable that is grounded to engine. My truck has a volt meter telling me what the system is doing which normal is 14.5 volts while running, battery should read about 12.6 when not running, could also be that your alternator belt is loose, maybe change that while your at it.You can crank engine up,have hood open, rev engine up and watch belts turn to make sure they are not loose.I f you need,I can send you a free repair guide on your Nissan. Here's mine. 85 Nissan 720 4x4 Silverbullet 4 with Samantha YORKIE at the wheel look out
the idler valve this controls the air into the system, looks like this.
remove and clean out using carb cleaner or solvent based cleaner that won't damage ruber.
hi
Its your clutch release bearing.
change the clutch
3 piece clutch kit. (pressure plate + clutch plate and release bearing)
your problem will be fixed.
hope that helps
Take it back to the folks that allegedly "rebuilt" it and have them do the job right. If you paid via credit card do not pay until it is fixed properly.
From the diagram in the service manual, it looks like the front of the crankshaft has two keys, in line with each other. Those two keys drive the crankshaft timing gear, the oil pump drive gear, the oil thrower (all inside the timing cover) and the crankshaft pulley (external). If your oil filter is dry, you're not pumping any oil. Pull the timing cover back off and see if the oil pump drive gear is correctly locked onto the key in the crankshaft.
ok we have four connections at the alternator( black wire is ground) (white with blue positive direct from the battery)and two wires connector in the regulator(yellow with black that goes to charge indicator the red light and goes to fuse 7 10a fuse block inside) the blue with yellow goes to fuse 65- 7.5a in the left fron engine comparment fuse box))#1 check for ground at the black wire= #2 check for positive at the white with blue wire (allwas with power) this wire is protected with 100a fuse is in the left front engine comparment fuse box, remenber== check the 100a fuseand the two fuses that protect the regulator. when you turn the ignition switch to the on position power goes to the alternator by the yellow black wire and activate the alternator to work.
