Ac not running, set at 75 is 80in here changed the batteries already
Sandra, the problem is more than likely NOT in the thermostat at all but within the power or control circuit of your system. Once the system is set correctly in the desired mode, ensure that the system is in fact running. If it IS running, it may not be running correctly and requires service from a competent service technician. If it is five degrees warmer than setpoint and you are in a/c mode and it appears to be running, the compressor may not be running even though the outside fan motor is. Or it could be low on refrigerant or out of refrigerant, producing no cooling at all.
