I have a 2002 F250 Super duty. It has a realy chtter under dashboard. when my Foot is on brake pedal it stops

i have a 2002 F250 Super duty. It has a realy chtter under dashboard. when my Foot is on brake pedal it stops check brake linkages like free play,and brake switch,might need to tighten things up.

Was driving down freeway @ 70mph when all of a sudden heard sort of a popcorn popping sound, then could not run engine over 35-40 mph. Gauges looked fine, engine starts fine next day?
