Yahoo Mess.would not let me sigh out yesterday. Removed Y9 and installed Y 10. Would not let me sin into mail. Now OK. Tried to sign into MY MESSENGER AND STATES "ID IN USE", WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO GAIN ACCESS. E-MAIL ADDRESS IS - [email protected]

On the Yahoo Mail sign-in page, click the "I can't access my account" link.

Have you tried the Yahoo sign-in wizard? That will help retrieve (or reset) password, among other steps. See:

I guess this is what you want. If that dont work go to yahoo and click on mail. It should ask you to sigh in

What you can do to provent that is when you sigh in there should be to boxes under where you put in your username and password. One says remember me or remember me on this computer. Then there is one that says remember my password. Check both those boxes and that should make it so that you dont have to sigh in everytime. But this only works for one computer. Also if you delete the cookies on your computer then it will erase your remembered password. But if you dont do that than you will be fine.

Install older version of yahoo messenger..
And let me tell your one thing that, when to try to login to your yahoo account on yahoo messenger, your internet connection must be responding. This you can ensure by keeping your server busy(opening websites).
The problem you are telling might be caused when you are trying to login to yahoo account through yahoo messenger and yahoo mail.
I recommend you that you open yahoo account through yahoo mail(only if you are unable to sign in to yahoo account through yahoo messenger.)
yahoo mail now-a-days is providing yahoo chat service when you sign in your yahoo account on yahoo mail.
at left side of your mail box you can see yahoo mini messenger.

Have either of you tried a DIFFERENT computer. Since most likely it's your computer and not Yahoo.

Or install firefox or chrome and try with a different browser.

removed program from control panel click add/remv prog then restart your computer goto www.download.com download yahoo mess and install.
