The Ultra Travel drive uses two USB cables. I would suggest you to make sure both cables are connected to the computer. If you are using a desktop try connecting the cables to the ports on the back. In case you have a laptop, make sure it is connected to the power outlet.

The computer might not be providing enough power to load the device. I can also recommend you to connect the drive to a different computer.

The light signals a connection between the hard disk inside the Traveldrive to its case. If it fails that means that the hard disk is dead. The unit has died, junk it and buy a new one, hard disks can't be repaired.

Things to ponder before deleting

Rather then deleting them right away, try moving the "day the files were uploaded" to another drive. Then try accessing the files on your memorex. Do the files and folders open properly? There not corrupt? Has the memorex hdd drive recreated the folder you just moved? etc...

Once your satisfied that yes there are two copies then you could safely remove one.

Lb44145 ,when you got the item did it come with the disk? And if you have the packaging does it say 'Vista Compatible' if not i would recommend you buy one which is vista compatible.

Detected With Error Code 10 in Device Manager in Windows XP

Have you tried also plugging in the DC usb cable into the traveldrive? I was having problems where my computer wasn't working properly with my drive unless I had it either plugged into a powered usb drive/hub or I had the DC plug in as well.
