The Ultra Travel drive uses two USB cables. I would suggest you to make
sure both cables are connected to the computer. If you are using a desktop try
connecting the cables to the ports on the back. In case you have a laptop, make
sure it is connected to the power outlet.
The computer might not be providing enough power to load the device. I
can also recommend you to connect the drive to a different computer.
The light signals a connection between the hard disk inside the Traveldrive to its case. If it fails that means that the hard disk is dead. The unit has died, junk it and buy a new one, hard disks can't be repaired.
