My psp 2001 digital steam press just burst into flames. I have not used it extensively and although it is not new it should not have burst into flames.

SOURCE: Stopped producing steam

Iron not heating up sufficiently to produce steam. Threw it out!

SOURCE: no steam when ironing and no burst steam

bad connection to heating coil. Not worth fixing.

Found the answer. The steam button is built into the handle. Push the button and you have steam.

Burst of Steam

if no steam at all, there is most likely a small port where some particles have clogged...fill it with vinegar and water (50/50) and allow to soak 24 hrs, then reheat then shake vigorously to drain then rinse then retry
