I can't log onto my e-mail without it saying service error. How do I fix that?

You most likely need to reset your account...just hit the link that says can't get into account or something close and follow the steps...just had the same problem with Daughters account.

Yahoo has been upgrading the servers as of the moment. There are many issues at this time. Turn around time for the Fix is not yet announced, you can use one of these links to access your mail. Not a guarantee these will work at this time. But you can try. This is not affecting some accounts, depends on which server you are on but you can try.

Some people find this works. Try this log out, change your e-mail password and log back in.

is your date and time set ? is it the right time etc? also restore settings to defauklt or lower security settings and prob u need to use cc cleaner

I can't say if you should change your email account or not, I had my problem with them indirectly. The "send error report" is from Microsoft and is part of the operating system. If you say yes it will send Microsoft information about the program that's having trouble and your operating system.
Depending on if your using "web mail" or "client mail" will determine which program is giving you trouble. If you download your email with a program like "Outlook Express" then you have client mail, if you log onto a web page to get your mail then it's webmail. If you use web mail the problem is probably with Internet Exployer and you'll need to reinstall it and or upgrade it. If you use client mail the problem is most likely with your email program which is usually Outlook Express, again you'll need to reinstall and/or upgrade the program.

I reported problem to yahoo through the link(contact us) and reported problem..had to do it a couple of times, but problem did get fixed. I am able to access my email now. PHEw!

make sure your password is correct because this error description states that your password is incorrect

Had same error for over a week. Here is what fixed it! Delete cookies related to Yahoo.

Can be done from Firefox, "Tools, Privacy, Show Cookies. Look down the list and select those associated with Yahoo. Delete them and restart browser.

From IE, Tools, General, "Browsing history" Settings, View filesl...
Then, find the cookies related to Yahoo, select, right click and delete.
Restart browser.

I think you have not yet logged out from the yahoo mail portal.... next time you try to log on to the yahoo mail.. make sure you find the tab that says logout... click on that and log out yourself and then tryto log in .... it should do miracle...
