The display circuit is broken even if the LCD-panel seems to be ok. the only circuit working in the display is the one for the backlight.
This is a very common Nokia display problem.
Only solution is to change the display.

i recently broke my nokia N73 screen, (drunk) haha.

the screen was all cracked and black.

if its just a white screen or black screen id say its a broken screen you have on your hands, there not to dear to by new, it could jsut be the cable that has broke which goes onto the chipboard inside the phone, which still requires a new screen. :)

You have to replace your handset's LCD Screen to get your problem solved. Take your handset to the Authorised Service Centre of Nokia and get its LCD replaced.

You have the older 3120. Asking because there is an 3120 Classic too...
the 3120 does not feature bluetooth or infrared, so you won't be able to send data between phones...
The 3120 Classic does support bluetooth 2.0
