Try to remove and replace the sim card (most likely under the battery or next to it) and then replace it. If it does not work you will need to take it into your carrier.

Remove the sim card and power up the phone. Enter the following.*2767*3855#.I have used this code on a few other samsung handset, but never used on SGH-A707.

You can turn on the option to view numbers from both Phone and SIM. If you really need to transfter numbers from SIM to Phone or vice versa, download PC Studio software from samsung.com, just type in A707 in their search box and click download.

Insert ANY unaccepted SIM card in the phone and then turn the phone on, follow the steps in 1 to 4 below to enter all the codes. The phone will states "Wrong card" at the end of step 2 and "network lock deactivated" at the end of step 4 if you do everything right so pls take your time to enter the code or follow the instruction correctly at each step. When entering some of the zeros at steps 3 and 4 your phone may display the zero as hyphen or minus (-), dont worry, just count when entering the zero to ensure you enter just the right numbers of zeros. I know my phone does the same thing. The only solution is to take out the battery and then jam that ****** back into its slott. If this fails, remove the battery and the SIM card and blow where they connect. Your Welcome

you dont have to buy new sim...go to your nearest service senter. hardware failure.... sim sockets or sim ic... thats the problem...

depends on the phone you are using to transfer from. On my sony, for example, i can go to my contact list options and send contacts via bluetooth to another device.

Which phone are you sending from?

Two things:

Are you in an area where they are upgrading the towers to 3g service? Are you going back and forth from Edge service to 3G service. That could cause the click.

And one more thing you could do is pay 25.00 to get a new sim card. Believe it or not this helps sometimes.

Other than that I do not know of any solution or why it is doing that, it should not do it. If its under warranty have att send you a new one (warranty good for a year from the date you bought it)

I had the same problem and fixed it by turning off the phone, removing and re-inserting the battery.
