I need to practice on Quickbooks Premier 2008 for students ( or something like that) Where can I found this program whit backup files?

a) If you previously syncronized POS 2008 with the financial product, then no, you cannot syncronize the data again, unless you tag each transaction (for the whole years) as "unsent".

b) If you have never syncronized POS 2008 with any QuickBooks Financial product, then yes, you can syncronize/download the data into QB 2009 Accountant Edition.

Before you do either: Make sure you do not already have 2008 data in your file.

From memory the default place is C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Intuit\Quickbooks\Company Files.

I know thats it on 08/09 and 09/10, only reasonably sure about 07/08, dont remember back that far.

PLEASE REMEMBER THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY PROBLEM IN OPENING A QB PRO 2008 COMPANY FILE IN PREMIER 2008. THERE SHOULD BE SOME OTHER REASON TO IT .

1. Which Windows Version you have . Is it Win XP or Vista or 7?
2. How do you try to open the company file ? Please list the steps .
3. Do you get any erro msg ?
4. Does QB crash?
5. Do you have a backup company file QBB or main company file QBW ?

Please try these steps or reply to my questions:

1. Change the location of the company file.
2. Disable UAC.
2. Rename the company file .
3. Delete the ND and TLG file .

I would not open up the company file in 2009. Open your 2003 Quickbooks, make a backup and then restore the back up in 2009. If you do run into problems you might want to upgrade into 2006 and then to 2009. (you will need to find someone who can do this for you if you don't have a 2006 version. I can help you with that if you need it

Spybot has been known to damage the QuickBooks program in the past.
You will need to reinstall the program.

you need to import your company file into Quickbooks 2006 first, then from there into 2008.
