HARD RESET

With the device open, press the two soft keys together while pressing in the reset button on the back of the unit with your stylus. If done correctly you should see a screen that says "Press 0 to reset to factory defaults or X to exit." Press 0 to confirm the factory reset

To perform a hard reset
1. Press and hold the left SOFT KEY and the right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the middle left side of your device.
2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two SOFT KEYs until you see the following message on the screen:
operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default.Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.
3. Release the two SOFT KEYs, and then press the TALK (Send) button on your device.
Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.

To perform a soft reset
Use the stylus to press the RESET button found on the lower left side of your device. Your device restarts and displays the Today screen.

If a soft reset does not fix it,
Try a full hard reset:
Soft reset: Use the stylus to lightly press and hold the RESET button on the bottom of your device.
Hard reset: Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the bottom of your device. You will be presented with a menu saying 'press R to reset, X to exit', if you press R Your device will be set back to factory default settings.
(The L/R soft keys are the "- -" keys just above the start and OK buttons)
Another Option if one of the SOFT KEY's is bad: START/SETTINGS/SYSTEM (tab)/CLEAR STORAGE.
