The hardware in the phone has most likely melted and only works when heater now... DON'T heat it up, you're making it worse!!! Take it into a repair center and they can try to fix it... If not it will most likely have to be replaced. I have this same phone and I've had to have mine replaced 6 times.

you cannot use a verizon phone on an alltel plan. you have to switch over to verizon to make that phone work. i tried getting a chocolate to work on alltel too and they would not do it.

The screen has died. it is a common problem with the chocolates. take it to your local service provider's store and they will replace it
