To remove the auto keypad lock on your phone. Go to the menu, then you select the select the settings, from the list select phone settings/phone, then select automatic keyguard, then you turn it off.
This light sensor senses the outside light and activates the keypad light accordingly.
When you have enough backround light the keypad light wont light up.If the background light is less then the keypad light wil light up.
You dont get the keypad light ON because the light sensor might have activated.
If in dark also you wont get the keypad light on then the fault lies with the keypad light unit.please give your mobile to the nearest authorised service centre for service.
Hi, my phone was the same. I tried re-installing the firmware with the SE software and it said it was already the latest and wouldn't re-install. I downloaded software WotanClient2 from http://www.wotanserver.com/en/, installed it and followed instructions re-installing firmware on the phone. Cost 7 Euro for 1 credit to do so - but it worked! i have only had the Q9C but i think with the all the Qs the keypad has a automatic light sensor in dark rooms the lights should bright and in light the lcd and keypad should go off and get dim
i dont know were exactly u may need to dissable the smartback light and press the lcd off light
or u may need to take it in and see if the a cell repair place can fix it i have the same problem with my Q9C i am looking now and its either my windows mobile or candlelight app but u may need to take it in
