How do I set my phone to play music to the caller

Check the volume of your music player, you might only have turned it off accidentally.

You can't change the messaging tone to a song from your music playlist, these options for choosing your own music as ringtones are restricted to an alarm tone, phone ringtone and caller ringtone (caller ringtone is when specific people calls you, a certain ringtone would appear for that caller to differentiate between callers)
However, you can change your message ringtone to certain ringtones for your Galaxy S phone by going through the following steps: (P.S I am assuming that you are using the stock Samsung SMS application)
1) Go to your stock Samsung SMS app (it's named as 'Messaging')
2) Press the softkey 'menu' button
3) Go to settings, scroll down and from there you can see the option 'select ringtone'

I think that there have been some mistake.....Caller Tune means the ring-tone which is hearing by someone who is calling you.So you cannot set the caller tune yourself, it is provided by the Sim service provider.Here However, Ring-Tone means the tone which you are hearing when someone is calling you.We can easily set this tone by using....Menu......>Profile...........>Ringing tone setting....Set the tone what you wish............................

The reason your phone plays music whenever people call you is because your line is subscribed to what is called a 'caller tune'.

It is a service provided by your sim cards network provider.

In some cases it lasts for weeks, some for months.

When the previous caller tunes expires, you will receive a message with short codes for you to enter to select a new caller tune.

If you ignore the message, the music played while your recipients are calling you will stop.

And if it does not stop, you can contact the customer care of your sim cards network provider.

set a caller tune call ur phone operator and tell them that u want different tune for different caller

Goto menu>setting>General>Voice control>play caller name>select on

then back to voice control>voice dialing>activate>edit names>then record sound for desired caller name...

How about turning off the Music On Hold source at the phone system. It will be an external device ( radio, mp3 or cd player ) and turn it back on when you are on-line.

Contact your service provider to select new music and then set the time for the answering to take place under application menu.
