Here are the manuals for Orbitor. There is no manual for 5500, however they all assemble in the same way. Look through the list for one that is similar to your telescope.

However, Meade has manuals for both Reflectors and Refractor telescopes. Find one on the page below that is similar to your telescope.

You will not find a manual for that small telescope. However Meade maintains a web site with all their manuals. Look under either REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR for one similar to your telescope. They all assemble and work pretty much the same way.

In a refractor images are upside down as with most telescopes. You need an image erector to create a normal correct R and L and Up and Down image. It is a lens which goes in front of the eyepiece to give a correct image.

Even if you cannot find a manual-- these web site will help you learn about your reflecting (newtonian) style telescope.

you have to clikc the latch in order to see through the telescope. just look for a latch there.

You can ty Seben www.seben.com or I can give you some info from my book, my unit is the 114mm D 1000mm telescope but I think most things are similar
