I have a breitling watch 1884 how can i determine the authenticity

Sorry to say it does not look genuine, incorrect sub dial colours. But anything is only ever worth what someone else is willing to pay for it :)

if your breitling watch had been purchased to its authorized retailer, there is nothing to worry about but if your watch is had been purchased to anywhere else it is probably fake.. but you can bring it to watch expert or in authorized retailer of breitling brand of watch and you can ask for its authenticity because they have to see it on actual so that they can determine it that if it is fake or not. because there is so many fake watch that has the same looks outside of the original watch but bot on the iside. i hope i had been helped you.

If you go to "www.breitling.com/en/index.php"/contact/", you will see a "contact" address and also a menu for finding your nearest dealer.

A dealer might be able to investigate your watch for you, although I suspect that it might take some time.

Authentic Breitling watches require the use of a special watch wrench. The wrench has prongs that fit in the circular indentations on the back of the watch. You can purchase a watch wrench online but I recommend going to a watch maker or technician who can re-seal the watch and pressure test it to insure it has been sealed.

I would recommend taking it to your nearest Breitling Retailer and they can verify the authenticity of it.

It sounds like your either not moving enough to wind it (try winding manually) or it needs a service (gear oil gone sticky) to free it up.

check a bunch of things...even great fakes slip up on one or two details

check the luminous markers, are they painted well?
check the bezel luminous marker, does it match an authentic?
check the wing logo on the dial
look at the font for the date
look at the band pins (they should be screws-round or flat depending on model)
check the crystal, should have no reflection and a purple hue when viewed at an angle
under the lugs will be a date etched in to the case
the bezel will have a small "B" etched in between 11 and 12 on the side, not the face

Bottom line, unless you have paperwork in hand and a verification that the seller bought it from Breitling, you are probably looking at a fake
